Perpetrators use digital systems for their offences. For Validd, digital forensics means to provide the evidence you need to convict the perpetrator, to substantiate the allegations at court, to claim damages or to take legal steps within the field of labour law.
Validd’s experts are well experienced in digital forensics.
They know how and where files are hidden. And they find them.
They know how deleting-programs work. And they retrieve the data.
They regard it as a challenge to break an encryption-code. And they do it.
They analyse e-mail traffic and tell you where your data has been transferred to. And by whom. Or at whose request.
Digital forensics leaves no room for tactical excuses. We ascertain whether a file was looked at or was just “accidentally” on the computer. It is often difficult enough to prove that an employee has saved a file on his laptop and then sent it to a competitor. But to explain to the defendant’s lawyer that the securing of the alleged evidence has been carried out absolutely correctly and according to court-standards, demands considerable expertise. IT-departments and system-administrators can’t be expected to have the necessary expertise; therefore they would be easily overwhelmed. All of Validd’s experts are court-appointed, authorised experts. The documentation of all digital forensics measures is routine.
“When in doubt, for the accused” is right; but Validd’s results leave no room for doubt.
